The MSRP isn't changing that much, if any for the regular models. I can see the A91 costing a little more because of the spoiler. If they sold every single Supra on the lot, maybe, but not now...

Did a little screengrab, I think this is both cars. The box is over the important bits, but the curves look very similar. You see the tiny delay in the torque curve so that makes me think it's both.
Maybe it's just me, but I don't think they compare at all. The only thing they have in common is rear wheel drive.
The 86 is a cheaply made entry level "sports" car, if it even still falls under that category by today's standards, with a very cheap interior.
