The $200k GT spec is getting the 7 speed transmission. They said so in the press release along with 450 hp.
I'm sure there will be another spec sitting in between. We still have to see the GRMN Supra. But with it comes additional price. We're driving the M340i equivalent where the GRMN will be...
Easily done. Take a Cayman-esque body, stuff a VW GTI powertrain in it, charge 50% more than a GTI, Options are extra, because Porsche, new entry level car.
THE best sounding cars are rotaries. Bar none. Look up the video of the Mazda 787B screaming down the mulsanne straight in Le Mans. You hear the car 30 seconds before it comes into view lol.
It's detuned in Europe for EPA reasons with those particulate filters. European Supras won't get the upgraded engine at all, so it'll be curious to see if the American '21 Supra will be detuned. I have a good dyno place nearby so once I'm past break in, I might just throw it on there for a few...
Yeah that changes things. This is the first car in my life I'm paying sticker for. I normally don't even do that. But in this case I have to or I miss the boat. But I won't pay markup, no matter how bad I want it. There's 999 more so if this doesn't pan out, there's someone selling for sticker...
I'm sure I will :D I'm glad it goes like it does. Then there's no reason for me to do mods other than for sound and cosmetic reasons. It needs lowered, because that wheel gap is horrendous, but other than that, other than wheels for a base/premium car, it really doesn't need anything. I can...
The one I drove had plenty. I turned left onto the on ramp, gave it the beans, rear end broke loose and by the time I merged on the interstate I was well over a 100 mph. And all i could think was "and mine will have 50 more horsepower??" I'm curious what the '21 will dyno at.
Forgive me. I can't keep track of MSRP from 12 years ago lol. But you get my point. They didn't raise the price, they reduced the discount. The GT-R was a steal at $80k. Especially if you looked at the exotics it beat back then. The Supra is not in that same boat.
Now, they might raise it a...
