I think ONE sold for 6 figures. At least that I know of. Most sold for MSRP or slightly over. The youtubers paid over because let's face it, they make more than it costs to get it early. There's plenty on lots for sale at sticker right now and by the time spring comes around, they'll be going...
Nonsense. Warranty isn't an "all or nothing" deal. If you change the suspension, the suspension obviously won't be warrantied anymore, but it won't affect your powertrain warranty. And vice versa. Tuning your car won't affect your warranty if you blow a stock shock.
You're obviously not going to get even MSRP for it. Even dealers are selling below MSRP already. Just do a search on car gurus or autotrader. With that said, either keep the car, or cut your losses, but don't expect to get more than 50-55k for it. Anything extra is bonus.
An 11 inch wheel isn't a 10 inch wheel, now is it?
OP a 10 inch wheel is made for a 265 to 285 section width tire. While technically it should be able to hold a 305, the sidewalls will droop over the sides of the wheel. It looks stupid and it limits performance especially in the corners. So in...
We're not talking about GAP insurance. Totally different. Should always get that.
The car comes with X amount of miles and Y amount of years of insurance from the factory on the powertrain. Z amount of years bumper to bumper. Why buy extended warranties that you aren't using at car purchase...
Exactly! When I bought my 2015 STI new they sold me the car 5600 below sticker, only to try to sell me 9000 worth of warranties. Powertrain, bumper to bumper, wheels, even tire warranty!
I'm like, the car comes with 5 years, 60k miles from factory. Take a hike lol. And they send enough letters...
Then you've never modified a Subaru STI lol. Because they do require a tune with an intake, and with a downpipe.
When you alter the intake, the MAF gets too much air, and the ECU has to compensate. The BMW ECU might be able to, but the Subaru ECU will make the car run too lean and damage the...
First off, the "7 year, 100k" warranty, or any extended warranty at car purchase is the biggest sham there is. You don't know if you will own the car that long. You might be bored with it in 2 years. It might get totaled and you buy something else instead, and so on. After your base warranty...
There's a HUGE difference between adding a strut brace, a catback etc, and changing the engine mapping. The former won't affect warranty, while the latter will.
The Magnussen Moss warranty act means nothing. YOU still have to lawyer up to fight the dealers denial of a warranty claim.
That's not how that works. They can deny any claim they want. Then it's up to you to lawyer up and prove otherwise. And by the time you're done, you will have paid more in fees than the repair.
If you don't want warranty claims denied, DON'T MOD THE CAR. it's that simple. You do things that...
Just like the 2015 STI launch edition. Which had blue stitching instead of red, and gold wheels. Limited to 1000 in NA. other than that, it's the same as the regular one. They were mostly sold over MSRP, just like the Supra. But after 6 months or so, the hype was gone, and they were just another...
