  1. Analysis, Comments & Reactions from the Web about the new Supra

Because most Corvettes are driven by old men and they order an automatic anyway. How many exotic car makers still offer a manual? Not many. The Supra is a sportscar. A sportscar should have a manual option. The Corvette is a supercar (now) and supercars only having the best performing option is...
  2. Supra vs C8 Corvette

Yet in the Supra you can't change anything. No interior colors, no wheel options, brake colors, striping, etc. You get 2 options. Nannies or no nannies. The Z51 package will likely be around 5k so you'll still have everything performance wise for low 60's. So you're talking 10k difference for...
  3. Analysis, Comments & Reactions from the Web about the new Supra

Z06 and ZR1 are, not the base/Z51 models. There's waaaaay too many of them.
  4. Supra vs C8 Corvette

I love driving manual cars, but I have a DSG equipped VW Golf GTI, and it's incredible. You cannot beat the performance gain. And paddle shifting is fun too. If you buy a performance car just to cruise around, a manual is more engaging, but if you do ANY kind of performance driving, autocross...
  5. Analysis, Comments & Reactions from the Web about the new Supra

My dealer just sent me this. I can buy a C8 with the Z51 package for that.
  6. Supra vs C8 Corvette

I just happen to get this email from my local Toyota dealer. A C8 Z51 would be cheaper.
  7. Supra vs C8 Corvette

Usually the Z51 package, which adds all that, is around 5k. The same price difference between a base and premium Supra. So it's about even. I'm sure the base C8 will still be plenty fast though lol.
  8. Supra vs C8 Corvette

Don't tell the dealer that. Walk in with a C8 brochure clearly visible. Make them THINK you want one. Instant discount
  9. Supra vs C8 Corvette

A 335 hp 4 second front engine Supra or a 495 hp sub 3 second rear/mid engine Corvette for 5k-10k more that looks the part. Anyone buying the Supra for more than or even at MSRP is absolutely mad after this reveal.
  10. Willing to pay markup?

I won't. I won't even pay MSRP. I generally don't buy the first model year of a new car. I wait a year, see what problems pop up, if any, then when the second model year orders open, I'll go to the dealer. If they have a leftover first model year car sitting there, they'll usually discount...
  11. Crash Supras on Public Roads

No such thing as a 2019 Supra. In the U.S. they're sold as a 2020 model year. And as far as I know, they won't be sold till the end of July.
  12. First TRD Parts (and Pricing) Available For 2020 Supra

Wouldn't be surprised if that's an alternative option down the line.
  13. First TRD Parts (and Pricing) Available For 2020 Supra

It's not going to be that much here in the States. Different economies. Nobody would pay that. The wheels might go for 4k. The CF trim pieces maybe for 1k to 1500 each or so. I would also expect a black FRP/plastic option of the same item.
  14. BMW insider: "385 hp Supra model is coming"

Remember how they showed there was room for extra struts under the hood, vents could be made functional, bracing for a wing is already in place? That will probably be utilized in this version for the extra $. It won't be JUST 60 HP.
