Yes, if you went with 265/285 and kept a 35 aspect ratio the sidewalls would be taller. You made them 35% of 265 and 285 as opposed to 35% of 255 and 275 that are the stock tires.
To everyone impacted by this, I just checked and it appears BimmerCode has an update to install. When you connect your OBD adapter and open the app it’ll ask you to perform the update. I now have the Roof Function module back.
