They did drop the MSRP on the A91.Although I'm naturally irritated that the MY21 A91 winds up essentially only a $1500 "appearance bump" - not too much, considering I've been enjoying the hell out of the last 6 months of driving rather than just sitting and waiting.
I'm relieved however, that the MSRP didn't drop at least (although I'm surprised they didn't bump it a little higher than they did, considering)... that would have truly been salt in the wound! Also on that 2.0 MSRP... that's gonna be a hard sale IMO - but then again I'm in a different demographic I suppose.
I suppose there are some for which $12K would make all the difference... but I would also assume that the insurance and maintenance would then be similarly difficult to swing.
Yeah, I'm sure it'll put you in contact with someone. I've had a deposit on one since February. This might be a dumb question, but does requesting a quote from the Builder site allow you to actually place an order on that specific car? I currently have a Phantom Premium reserved (the only allocation my dealer has coming currently). They told me they couldn't get anything besides their allocated Phantom. I'm not against the color at all, but that Refraction Blue sure does look sweet.
Dealers that were being allocated an A91 are just finding out whether or not they will be getting the nocturnal black or the refraction blue one today. Some haven't even been told yet. Most dealers won't get more than one A91. I would contact the dealer you put a deposit down with and see if they know what color they are going to be getting. If it's not the one you want, I'd get a refund and start calling around to see if there's someone that's getting the one you want.Yeah, I'm sure it'll put you in contact with someone. Awesome congratulations!! I got conformation today as well. Also Refraction Blue this early bird paid a deposit back in February lol. I have been "region approved" for a while now, but today it became official.Dealers that were being allocated an A91 are just finding out whether or not they will be getting the nocturnal black or the refraction blue one today. I have been in contact with a regional Toyota rep for the past several months bugging them for updates on ordering; "official order requests" (for the A91's anyways) weren't able to be placed until yesterday as far as I was told. I went to a dealer that I knew was going to be allocated an A91 right when they opened yesterday "armed" with the MSRP info that had been released with the hopes that orders could be placed now. They allowed me to place my official order and my deposit, but informed me that they hadn't been told what color they were getting yet. 3 people showed up shortly after me to try and place an order for the single A91 they were going to get as well (something about an early bird)... I got the call from the regional rep today letting me know the color. Refraction Blue. Booyah.
Hope you get the color you want as well!
Well, I was actually referring to the 3.0 Premium. There was no way in hell I was going to buy an LE in the first place (the only colors I would even consider were yellow and matte) and I definitely am not in the "red interior FTW" camp after having one in my RC-F.They did drop the MSRP on the A91.
Here's the math.
A Launch Edition was $55,250. With CF mirror caps, $56,205. That's without the CF Spoiler still.
The A91 is $55,990 with both those included
As far as enjoyment goes, as long as the world doesn't end, we can enjoy ours just as long.
I love the yellow. Few cars look good in it, but this definitely does.Well, I was actually referring to the 3.0 Premium. There was even less of a chance of me paying extra for CF caps.
But yes, based on your math I would agree the LE to A91 did experience a slight drop (it also experienced a significant increase in decent color choices - by exactly one, yours). I did briefly consider Downshift Blue, but it was too "tame" for this car IMO... Refraction Blue would have definitely been a contender had it been offered. Can't say I regret my Nitro however... it helps all the lifted trucks around here see me.
I am %100 biased (because I own a Downshift blue MY20), but we disagree sir!I did briefly consider Downshift Blue, but it was too "tame" for this car IMO...
It let's me build one, but I don't understand the point of contacting the dealer afterwards with your build when they can only tell you they have no clueIt’s not allowing me to build an A91 or 2.0. Only lets me build a 2021 base 3.0 and prem.
