So, we're reaching that time of the year where we are nearing the release of the MY2022 GR Supra. What are you guys expecting? Or is the MY2021 going to ride out during its actual calendar year as well like you see with many other cars that are released as a next model year but it is actually the previous calendar year?

Any insider information other than the manual?

The only real legit source A70 is never on here like they used to be, probably won't hear anything until after spring time.

The A91 Edition got unveiled in February so I'm assuming a similar time-frame.
Power will stay the same because that's the limit of the gearbox, unless they put in a higher rated one of course, so I'm thinking next years Special Edition will be for the 2.0, and the base and premium will be mostly unchanged. Maybe some new wheels, or the A91 spoiler across the board as an option.

Or I'm totally off and they come out with a manual lol!

power goes up and becomes a bigger displacement to a 3.2L with more tq with more cf interior stuff with a revamped steering wheel. Then the 2021 owners are salty like the 2020 owners this year.. hahahahahah lol jk

My guess is probably a lip spoiler and very minor body add ons. As far as powertrain goes there'll probably be a manual option and maybe a special edition with the S55 engine option.

I'll be slightly ticked off but I can see them going the full digital gauge cluster route. I'm starting to hate the gauges on these cars now; seems like it was an afterthought. My 2019 Corolla Hatchback had a nicer instrument cluster than these things, and steering wheel.

For model year 2022+, 6-cylinder manual transmission option or go home. There has been well enough time since launch to meet the customer demand for it... which should have been anticipated for the first model year anyway.

Maybe due to the covid slowdown that will be delayed as well the GRMN w/S55 engine. Hopefully all of it will stay on schedule.

I dont really see many changes. If anything we might just get the same engine in the 2021 but maybe a more aggressive tune. So possibly 400hp rated? I could also see them adding vortex generators along the window and maybe some adjustments to the suspension but thats all.

Toyota has already said they plan on making changes and improving every model year. There were significant improvements from 2020 to 2021. I would not be surprised if there will be significant improvements for 2022.
