A91 & Recent 2021 Impossible to Tune / ECU manufactured after 2020/6 is locked? [WARNING: NO POLITICS]

I havent confirmed if theyre able to change the security on them via just flash not. But if your early 2020 was locked and you've recently taken it in for an update, it will be locked, but can be unlocked via bench flash, just like late 2020/early 21 models.

03/20. I did not realize how early my 2021 was produced... I might need to visit a tuner sooner than expected to find out if my ecu can be unlocked.

As long as your build date is no later than 7/2020 you do not have the new security update/change

If I’ve waited all this time for a car that can’t be tuned at all I’ll cancel my order today...

they're all locked from my understanding it's a matter of whether or not they can be bench unlocked, and from what the tuners are saying the 07/2020 and after can not be unlocked and thus not writable or tuneable. so if you have a 2020 you're good to go, they can be unlocked by your tuner. for 2021 models if your build date is 07/2020 or after for now can not be unlocked thus can not be tuned.

My build date was 6/29 and it rolled out 7/1. It couldn’t be more on edge of that date.

Just wanting to know if with time the ecu’s will be cracked/unlocked or if it’s doomed and stuck with a stock tune and zero potential for it’s entire life from the lot?
