Probably bogus but I read on a Facebook page dedicated to our cars that (just a member comment, nothing official) Cobb is supposed to release support for all MKV Supras next week. Has anybody seen any data on this?

" Hey Chad! Unfortunately, we have no plans to provide an Accessport that will work on the BMW B58 vehicles, sorry for the bad news! We would love to provide support for every vehicle around the world, but we just don't have the time or resources. I believe EcuTek as well as MHD support that specific vehicle. I'm sorry we couldn't help you out, but if you have any other questions, please let me know! "

That's much more in tune (no pun intended) with what I was thinking.

We have plenty of good options for tuning as is. I dont see it as a good market that Cobb would want to throw their hat into. Kinda like the GTR platform... Cobb was a great platform for the R35, and then when Ecutek came along with their racerom and flex fuel options it seems that there are less and less tuning the R35 on Cobb.

A90/A91 is probably part of your confusion as well.

A91 is just a trim level, not 2021 cars. I have a 2021 A90, it cannot be tuned. Most 2021 Supras cannot be tuned, but a few of the early 2021s can.
All 3.0's are A90's. The nickname for M/Y 2021 is "A91" because of the limited edition A91 (500 black, 500 refraction blue) appearance package available ONLY for 2021 . This is part of Toyota's marketing plan, like the 2020 "Launch Edition", limited to 1500 units.

This is the most confusing way to put it.

2021s are not necessarily A91s, A91 is a trim level that was available on the 2021s. All 2.0s are A90s as well, but they have the B48 engine, and some other differences, wheels, etc.

The whole situation is confusing. If you have a 2021 and it came with the stripes on the back, you have an A91, otherwise, you have an A90.

A90 is the chassis/model code (sorta - the factory actually uses the BMW chassis code, J29/DB*). It applies to all 2020 (or 19 if you're across the pond) MKV Supras.

Hello. I have a 2019 Supra A90. Does this mean my car's ECU is unlocked?

Thanks! ?

Do we know the exact cutoff date for locking purposes? I am a 6/27/20 date per my ECU and have assumed I am SOL but figure I would confirm with the braintrust.

Cobb also went backwards in 2020. They deleted a lot of their maps/tune options for the R35 and Evo X. Not sure if it has to do with stricter rules or what. I was a little annoyed when my accessport died and I couldn't redownload my tunes.
