Has anyone had a ‘replace battery’ alert they successfully reset? Mine came with it & the Supra maintenance specialist has been out of pocket for a month!

I would say probably 1 out of every 4 Supras sold has had this warning. Search the forum, it's all over the place. Batteries are drained on the showroom floor because the cars are not powered off correctly or completely. Battery needs to be replaced, and the new battery registered with the car.

Mine had this same problem on day one and they took care of it before delivering to me.

Mine was showroom Supra as well and they replaced battery and cleared the message before driving it off the lot....

Thanks for the reply. Lucky you! I hope my battery isn’t actually low! They acted like they had just gotten the car in. I guess time will tell!!

They should still clear the error message. It won’t go away on its own They CAN charge the battery and re-register it but I would insist they replace it under warranty as the life of the battery could be reduced.

They charged the battery & reset the alert. Told me to always lock the car to make it power down.
So I guess that means if I need to take the time to set radio stations, garage door opener, driver 1 preferences, I need to have the engine running to avoid draining the battery.
