Thanks. Is the display shown in Bimmercode shown on a phone or stand-alone display?

Both apps are android or IOS. Bimmercode is windows as well. I would use a tablet if you don't want to use it on the phone. If you're looking to track sensor data, you want bimmerlink. I threw in the bimmercode link just incase you were looking to code functions into the idrive or BDC.

Thanks. I think I'll install the ScanGauge for the time being and look at other options like the ones mentioned, in the future. My car is currently having PPF applied , setting me back thousands of dollars.

It’s cheap. BMW requires their own software and OBD link does a good job for even someone like me that knows way less than these guys. You can get it on Amazon too. LIke @omfgzilla ’s link

Just grab this one, that acctually looks like its belong in a Supra and matches the interior:

Really like that this (and the vadpro) tap into the CANBUS, and thus leave the OBD port free. But I'm not a fan of the fact that they make you depin a factory connector. Is anybody aware of a patch harness that we could buy and wire into instead?

I suppose you could just use a posi-tap...

De-pinning is not as bad as it sounds like. Had to de-pin one connector when installing the BM3 Flex Fuel kit.
The pins are just clicked in place, so super easy to take out.
Posi-pins are a big no no in my world. Not a fan of tapping into the OEM wires and destroying the wire isolation.

Wow, lots of options! Thanks, everyone. Due to the somewhat large outlay of money for the Supra down payment and PPF, I will have to put some things on the backburner. In the meantime, would it be okay to plug in the ScanGauge since it's so small and can fit almost anywhere?
