Coming from a well developed S2000 time attack build I am beyond stoked to jump into the Supra and begin its development on and off the track. The car belongs to "Art of Attack" a Southern California based shop and I have the privilege of driving and assisting in the car's development. Definitely excited to document and share all modifications and events that this car will see as we progress.

Made slight alignment adjustments before we head up to Buttonwillow bright and early for it's first shakedown.

To keep it short, the car is fantastic on and off the track. Capable of blistering quick lap times in stock form and incredibly easy to drive. I'll post my quick review of it with what I liked and what I sort of disliked below with some pictures. I will have video as well as soon as I pick up my Go Pros and SD cards!

That was the max front camber adjustment we could achieve, no caster adjustment from factory. Rears had camber and toe adjustment.

My Supra review: Terrible on gas, amazing on track. For how technologically advanced this car is, it still somehow maintains the intuition drivers seek. Unlike the S2000, the limit is very predictable and easily manageable, making it a fairly simple car to learn and drive. The “BMW” factor really kicked in on the way home making me realize that this was the most comfortable car I’ve made the trek home in after a full day of lapping at the track. We were able to put down consistent 1:58 laps at Buttonwillow CW13 right off the bat and immediately saw the huge potential this is car holds with slight tweaks and modifications. I did not experience any issues in cooling which was a huge plus after driving the FK8 Civic Type R which would over heat after half a lap. Did not experience any fuel cut/starvation issues either even running it down to 1/4 tank (I know others have reported fuel starvation issues), although the car needed to refuel after 3 10-minute sessions. H&R provided some lowering springs which we will try out and report whether they improve or hurt performance.

Is that R888Rs you are running?

Also please let us know how much camber you gain from the H&R springs drop (if any).

Yes those were R888Rs. Not a huge fan of them to be honest, but much rather run a street tire, however they were provided by the shop so I can not complain. And will definitely report back after the H&R install and alignment.

More photos from the first track event. The bottom photo with the driver side suspension compressed really proves that MK5s look 100x better lower..

Awesome thread so far!

Are you guys planning on moving to a square tire setup?
