Day 3 Update 7/7/21

Got a call from the shop. They found that the oem enclosure is necessary to keep in place as it ties in with a lot of the interior panels and will not add much CU FT to be worth cutting into it. The subs we are using require way too much space in a ported configuration, 1 CU FT per. This is hard to achieve within the confinement's of the top strut bar. We may need to go sealed but large enough to keep the low frequency for Hip-Hop and EDM style music. They are working on a new enclosure design as I type this.

I thought they would run into this issue, as I did. I did however manage to remove it completely and it gave me loads more room. I found it difficult to work on the part behind the seats with the different angles. I was hoping they would go to the effort of removing it, so I could get some ideas myself as I am not happy with my build, its just not tidy enough. Looks ok from the trunk and the top but its a mess behind the seats. If they remove the OEM sub boxes and the top cover you do have lots of room there. I just see this costing you big $$$, if they remove that piece.

It's all doable if I was wanting to make it more permanent but I built it to be returned to stock if I wanted to go back to stock this made it even harder. A more permanent solution would have been easier and build it in the car as opposed to make it removable.

I am using a slimline Audison 10 inch sub mounted in the centre this make things much easier.

Yeah the shop builds enclosures in their fabrication room to avoid cars getting dirty inside and out. Also allows returning vehicle back to stock.

That is fantastic craftsmanship and an excellent range of speakers. Is the lower OEM section also part of the enclosure? or only the new section?

Is there a picture from the behind the seats to get a perspective. Have you heard it yet?

How did you get the focal branding around the tweeters ?

Also how are you liking the audio setup now ?
