My exhaust tips are black with oil grime. Suggestions for cleaning them?

Tear off some wadding and wipe the exhaust down, then wipe clean with a clean cloth. They run about $6 for a can.

I like the Mothers metal polish, wasn't really a fan of the eagle one tissue paper spit shine thing
