One of my few gripes with the Supra is the lack of a 360 camera, especially with the limited visibility - I find myself often unsure about how close I'm parking to a curb. BimmerTech makes this front view camera that actually works within iDrive, and is compatible with the G29 Z4, as well as other BMW's that have iDrive 6.0 like the Supra.

Great idea?
I tested it using the VIN number and it came up with "not compatible with your Toyota Supra" however this may be more of a mounting issue due to the lack of vertical grill, where you would normally mount the camera, rather than the interface issue?
You could ask bimmertech why it comes up as incompatible.

Got an update from BimmerTech:
"I asked our support team but it looks like the front camera won't fit in your Supra unfortunately.
It comes with a MMI module which is currently compatible only with BMW cars.
For now we managed to figure out how to make our Carplay/Android MMI module compatible with Supras and it works great.
However, the MMI module used for front camera is different and it won't work in your car.
Sorry about that, it's probably going to change sometime in near future as our R&D is working on more retrofits for Supra."

Well, I pulled the trigger on the Rimmer-tech front view camera kit and can finally confirm that it works!

I ordered the specific kit for the touchscreen NBT EVO ID6 head unit.

It automatically turns on briefly when shifting from reverse into drive. It can also be selected on demand by pressing and holding the MENU button on the iDrive controller.

There was a lot of trial and error on wire routings, dip switch settings and mounting locations so I don't have a play-by-play photo DIY, but I'm happy that my weekend project was successful!

The kit was rather pricey at $600 (shipping from the UAE included). But that's because it requires the MMI module which adds a lot of possibilities such as AndroidAuto, AppleTV viewing and other features. Other than that, just some zip ties to tidy it all up which I already had.

This looks awesome. I installed the front view cam on my WRX which was standard in some non USDM models. Hoping a how-to for this would be released soon!

This will be helpful. I was always fearful pulling into spots because how of long the front end is. I could never accurately judge where I was cause it felt different each time lol. I have only struggled with this car.

Googled a random 2021 Supra 3.0 Premium VIN for you, and it works on the site: WZ1DB0C00MW039005

It pulled up this model of Front Camera kit in their manual selection:
"Models: All
Head unit: ENAVEVO / NBTEVO ID5/6 (with touchscreen)
Transmission: Automatic"

Maybe contact their support if you're not 100% sure. Perhaps some of the lower trim models with the smaller screen, or with a lower version of infotainment are not compatible.
