60000 for the top of the line trim. That's promising for the Supra top trim then. I'm hoping it's no more than 55k.

That’s right. Those are the first hard facts on pricing and technical data we have for the Z4 and should be good reference points for Supra pricing. Believing in a little lower prices for the Supra I think 55k US$ for top level trim could be very realistic.

Remember though guys, different markets get different pricing, so you can't just use an exchange rate to determine US pricing necessarily. That being said, this certainly works as a rough ballpark, and I think it's right around where it needs to be.

Is the US lower or higher relative to the exchange rate?

The exchange rate EUR : USD is 1:1.17
Add some bucks for transatlantic transportation and whatever for Trump idiocy.

Or make it a little more simple and compare with other BMW prices for the same car in Germany and the US (or wherever).

A BMW 440i xDrive Coupé is 50k € in Germany and 53k $ in the US. Regarding to the exchange rate the car is cheaper in the US.

Good to hear it's cheaper. Maybe looking at 53k~

Sounds about right to me. Tada-San has always spoken highly of the Porsche 718 Cayman, which just happens to be in the same price range. So I would expect it to be just a tad cheaper than the Z4 M40i

If this car hits the 60k price point in the US.. I very much doubt it being a success. Initially.. yeah.. it’ll sell. But then it’ll flop.

Even the PT cruiser sold initially very well. Lol so why not a BMW with a Toyota logo.

I'm from the UK, and really want a new Supra.. but only at the right price. If it hits anything around £50,000 + for then I6 Supra then I'm afraid it's not going to happen. It's too expensive IMO, especially when I can take a new M2 off the lot at a cheaper price. Couldn't imagine many others in the UK would buy it at that price point tbh.

The M2 Competition is 52k € with MT and 55.8k € with DCT. So now we know the Z4 M40i is 51,2k € with 8-Speed ZF.

That’s why I think the Supra with I6 and ZF will be a few thousand GBP lower than the M2.

Why so negative again? I think 50k US$ is not so far from reality. I don’t think the Supra will flop.

They have tough competition at the $50k mark in the premium segment. The Q60 3.0T starts at $45,000, Q60 red sport starts at $52,000, 440i at $51,000, the M240i at $45,000, M2 at $58,000, and countless others that I dont care to google right now.
And thats without mentioning the Mustang, Camaro, and future Z in the sports car segment.
