So I've had 2 recent revisions on my 4th gear wot on an e45 tune. Every time I go wot to get a log I get about -3 knock retard on all 6 cylinders at around 5300 rpm and lose all boost pressure. I do have a log if someone needs it. I'd just like to know why it happens. Is this because there's not enough fueling?

Are you calling me a Retard? ;)

What mods and tune?

But yes your engine is protecting itself. Most common issue is not enough fuel, lean predetonation.
E45 tune with a downpipe and flexfuel. Lol, too lazy for proper grammar on thread title.

well, its hard for us to say from over here, but e45-50 is where the fuel pump maxes out for sure.

Your best bet is to run a log and go over with your tuner.

They will certainly recommend port injection.

Threw him the log last night after shitting myself when my car started sputtering upon wot. Only time Iā€™ve had this happen was when I was having my SI tuned and the tuner went too lean. 1200 miles later it went kaboom. My thought on this was.. welp itā€™s gonna go kaboom. :(

After spinning out in 3rd. Iā€™m pretty sure I donā€™t need or want any more power. Lol. Iā€™d be happy with e30 tbh.

So essentially I want to know whatā€™s going on and why my car is sputtering upon wot. Is it because my fuel system is being maxed out or is it because Iā€™m running too lean? Thereā€™s KR around 5300 and lose all boost pressure.

Agreed. Port injection upgrades and a high pressure fuel pump upgrade is a must
