Cold start delete

Is anyone running cold start delete on their supra? I'm running catted dp + HKS dual muffler exhaust and the cold start is a little too loud. It wakes up the family at night. Bootmod support says its completely fine turning it off on catted downpipes. I'd appreciate if someone would share their experience!

I'm running an awe touring exhaust with a catless dp. I initially turned off cold start but it made my car idle like shit. Think it had something to do with the rpms having to drop so suddenly.

Well that's bad news. It was the only reason I was okay with running a downpipe.

Running Stg2 from @visconti on my '21 with catted AA DP and cold start is disabled. RPMs bounce for a second or 2 and then idles fine. My understanding is that the cat heats up quickly so cold start isn't needed.

What does rpm bouncing mean? Does that mean it’s quiet for the first 1-2 seconds?

Rough idle. Means it's not steady. Let's say goes up to 1500rpm, back down to 600, etc.

I have awe touring with catless and have mine off, there is a little idle roughness for maybe 2-5 seconds, nothing serious but it is a lot quieter, it is weird sometimes the car starts insanely quiet, like way quieter than stock, no pops or anything, but most of the time it is the normal stock start without the high rpm and stuff. turn it off, it is totally fine, I wait to drive my car over 20mph for like a min or 2 anyway
