Comfort Heating/Ventilation - does it do anything?

I am wondering if this remote command in either the app or the website actually do anything. This morning it was 40 degrees and I wanted to have the Supra heat up before heading out, so I hit the button on the phone app and what happened was absolutely nothing. When I went out to the car there was no setting changes and it wasn't running, so the temp was 40 degrees.

From the descriptions, it's only ventilation. No heat. I gather it'll use fresh air from outside to clear plastic, etc. fume accumulated overnight or whatever...
Never used it.

Well that's disappointing. It would have been useful this morning. The supra connect website has an elaborate explanation of how it heats below 59 and cools above 59 and that it only works if there's sufficient fuel in the car.

I gather heating will "work" if your engine is warm or if Supra has Aux Heat option (I doubt that).
Cooling is without A/C, so it can only provide fans and whatever 10 seconds of remaining cool air in the system. That's it..
Otherwise, it would be "Remote Start".

Yep. It's just shy of worthless, in my opinion.
