Cool. I will try mine next Spring when my Supra comes out of hibernation. I don't need it to be super tight or anything as I don't put my arm on that area, I don't think, while I drive. I just want them covered. But I am pretty good with making things so I can probably fix any shortcomings.
That's the thing if you don't put your arm on it. They tend to fall out when slightly bumping it.

sounds like your store needs to carry some with cool GR Supra logos!!! šŸ˜†
I would totally buy a higher quality 3D version that had a unit that filled the cup holders with the pads on top. If it matched the beige leather I would pay a couple hundred.

Unfortunately we donā€™t have the budget to make something like this right now especially that it already exists.

Noted. It's no problem, I will modify it a bit and make it work so that it won't just fall out. No need for 3D printing and all that modern stuff. It's all about duct tape and balsawood for me.;)

I installed this thing a few months ago. It was a perfect fit.

It has a bit more character vs a flat piece of plastic, I suppose. But then you got people buying generic Amazon trims for window buffeting so..

Iā€™m late to the party, but Iā€™ve made one and hereā€™s my ebay listing if anyoneā€™s interested! Also adding a GR logo for a little extra visual interest in the future

I think the holders need to fill the holes more and the tops need to be contoured to match the armrest. The surface finish looks ok from that image. Just some feedback. I have the factory leather plugs fitted to mine but would consider yours with the afore mentioned modifications.

Appreciate the feedback! Still working on this 3d modeling thing, took me 3 tries just to get to the current point lol. Each print takes over 4 hours so have to patient to check all of my adjustments.

this is hilarious timing. I was thinking about this yesterday. There really needs to be a good padded solution. I want to build something 3d print and then pad it. But looks like you have a start!

I have one of the cup holders filled with a Lexus Ashtray that fits almost perfectly but having said this, I honestly don't find the cup holders to be much of an issue ergonomically. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

@SupraTyler's 3D printed ones look pretty neat but they nuke what little storage the car has!

The one I designed is hollow on the underside you can technically still use the cupholder for storage although it may be a bit inconvenient. I also donā€™t mind the cupholders bumping into my elbow but figured Iā€™d design one if their might be an interest for it.

After driving my MT im not a fan of the holders... My elbow seems to naturally want to be inside it. Its uncomfortable too. I want a padded insert that is better than the japanese GR cover

If you get this perfected for the shape at the top of the holders, Im getting one. and ill have it leather padded. Great work btw! I was going to get on this myself if someone else wasnt.
