I went to install my Cusco strut brace and noticed the mounting points on the top of the strut have not been tapped. Anyone else install these yet?

I figured it out Iā€™m missing some serrated flange nuts for the m8 bolts

Finished product. I ended up purchasing 100 M8 stainless steel serrated flange nuts. The hardware stores did not carry any in SS.

If anyone has any issues please contact me.

I can also provide these flange nuts to other enthusiasts for free. Iā€™ll never end up using all of these.

*Update* I spoke with Cusco and my distributor. Kit was missing the nuts. They have went ahead and sent me out replacement hardware without even asking.

Kenji at Cusco as well as Jasper at Options Auto Salon have been solid guys from the first call. Highly recommend both the product and the people involved.
Thanks guys! Canā€™t wait to get the next shipment in on Friday.

Do you feel much difference when driving the car? I have the top and bottom ones on my GT4 and it was a noticeable improvement.

Yes. You can almost feel the brace inside the engine bay. Feels stiff and ā€œsquareā€ so to say. Tighter more precise cornering as well.

Is this the only front brace out there as of right now?

No, there is a rear too. Fensport in the UK carry the lot, plus a whole bunch of other parts too.

So you just poked a bolt down through here:

and put a nut on the underside here?

Yes the 50mm m8 bolt will go through that hole and a m8 serrated flange nut will go on the bottom.

Looks great! I also have the rear, sway bars and tow hooks. Iā€™ll have to get some good videos/pictures when itā€™s up on the rack.

I like the Cusco blue but I think I'll powder coat mine and try to match Renaissance Red 2.0. Waiting on Cusco Front and Rear sway bars to get here and then I'll do all the suspension stuff at the same time.

Anyone install the rear harness bar? I'm looking for something less bulky than the OEM aluminum one...
