Hi all,

I wanted to see if anyone else had this issue with their 2020 3.0 Supra.

I recently purchased the car, used with under 7k miles, and the delivery got delayed because:

1) Dealer said they couldn't get the car to start up again after getting the inspection done
2) They tried jumpstarting the battery but that did not work
3) Waited a day and it started up but not as smoothly as it should have
4 Then they detected that the fuel pump is messed up...

They informed me that they will be installing a new battery because the old one was a little low on charge and they'll also be installing a new fuel pump because they noticed the car jerking and not starting up properly.

Any idea why the fuel pump might have gone bad for a 2020 with under 7k miles?

Has this happened with any first owners who have been using the proper gasoline and no mods?

Thanks!

At least they’re replacing it!

Yup! I am glad everything is covered under the warranties but just a little frustrated that it keeps getting delayed because they couldn't properly diagnose the main issue.

Probably highly tuned.... Possibly had low grade fuel, wrong ethanol mix. ?
Any hints under hood for mods?

Check other battery threads. There's a procedure for resetting battery..

So from what I know, the car was all stock previously. My guess was wrong fuel/contamination as well.

I'm just curious if any first owners had issues with their fuel pump without any mods and such.
