Convinced me. I am going to try and get my goof-ball dog to sit in the Supra race seat for pics...

Big storage tub does well for smaller dogs. Can wedge it up against the front by moving the seat forward. This is him when he was a young puppy and then when he was a super young puppy before he was mischievous trying to crawl around the cabin. I've got a better harness system worked out for him now and he has more space in the X5.

Are there any custom door covers that can be easily placed to keep the dog from scratching the door interior when the see something through the window that excites them?

No one ever rides in the passenger seat so it could be installed and left there.

For anyone worried about scratched leather from dogs, you can get tiny dog shoes for the purpose of protecting your dogs paws from hot ground. These are equally as good at protecting car leather or paint from pet scratches.
