The cheaper solution might make sense for you if it holds but if it doesn't, you're going to pay for both.

1. is going to be a rough solution. It'll probably live life as a daily for a while, it should also absolutely be disclosed when it comes time to sell it. The scoring on the cylinder wall is significant.

2. Is obviously the answer, but (also obviously) going to cost you a bunch more money.
