Hey what’s up guys! Just installed my flex fuel kit and everything fired up alright and no gas leaks noted.

One question of note is that my check engine light came on. I’m sure this will be resolved after tuning, but is this relatively normal after install?

I’d assume accessing the canbus and installing a sensor would trigger a light but I just want to make sure.

Thanks!

Any other mods besides the flex fuel kit? What was the code?
No other mods, I actually let the car sit for a minute and the code went away.

More than likely the check engine light triggered since I disconnected the car battery prior to the flex fuel install. All is well now

How can you have a flex fuel kit without a tune?

Just installed my downpipe and flex fuel kit in preparation for my tune. Haven’t ran any E85 in it at all.

Tune coming in the next week :)

yeah was gonna say your downpipe might throw a code... getting ready to install my flex kit but the re-pinning the bcm makes me a little iffy

Installed the active auto downpipe and so far no check engine light. They’ve got a no CEL guarantee ;)

The re-pinning wasn’t difficult at all, but definitely take your time with it. I mixed up some wires and it took me a while to get everything straightened out. Not too difficult though, just requires lots of patience.
