gotta ask that to @A70TTR, but if he wanted to explain it now, he wouldn't have written "future is waiting", and would have explained it, but he can explain :)

Yes, we needed a dedicated thread on solving this lol - I am fairly certain "TD7" portion is backwards for 7DT in reference to the 7 speed dual clutch transmission from ZF. If anyone knows more, or how to interpret jumbled partially backwards/not backwards ZF model number that would be great!

The only hint A70 gave us:

"it's all one sequence purposely to confuse, keep that in mind. And maybe not all of it is backwards? :D

I'm not going to confirm or deny guesses either way..."

Edit: Attached is an image that shows how ZF transmissions are identified. I think A70's code refers to the transmission designation and the transmission part number. A70 also said that the GRMN is based off the GT4 car, which coincidentally also has an unknown 7 speed transmission ;)

Didn't see where this code initially came from, but my idea for the first part could be 2022 S58.

MM1010219x58

MM = 2000 in Roman numerals, 10+10+2 makes it to 2022. S is 19th letter of alphabet, then the 58.

Maybe a 7 speed dual clutch with the S58 coming in 2022? You never know lol.

When A70TTR first posted it stated "MM10102 1958 LF54TD7," each separated by a space. So, at some point, the 19 was replaced by an "x," which agrees with what you are saying. So, I am in agreement, maybe we will see a 2022 model with a S58 mated to a 7 speed dual clutch. If that happens, Toyota can have my money.

I am impressed. Some of you guys could work for the NSA.
ZF lists a 7 speed dual clutch transmission - product code 7DT45FL (which is the reverse of LF54TD7 from A70TTR's initial secret code).

Ordered A91 edition Supra
The $200k GT spec is getting the 7 speed transmission. They said so in the press release along with 450 hp.
I'm sure there will be another spec sitting in between. We still have to see the GRMN Supra. But with it comes additional price. We're driving the M340i equivalent where the GRMN will be the M4 version. Might get the S58 with a 7 speed, but it won't be for sale for less than $65k MSRP I'm betting.

https://www.bmwblog.com/2019/06/10/a-closer-look-at-the-future-bmw-m3-m4-engine-the-s58/

The entry-level version of the S58 delivers 480 PS (473 hp in the US) and offers 600 Newton meters (442 lb-ft) of torque, making it more powerful that even the engine found in the M3 CS and M4 CS models. The top models X3 M Competition and X4 M Competition are using a tuned up version of the S58 delivering around 510 PS (503 hp), but the expectations are that more power can be squeezed out of the engine if other sportscars emerge under the M Division.

I think the biggest question would be price. Right now the updated A61 is around 57K. If they can keep the price under 70K then that will be impressive.

this is the greatest thing Iā€™ve read on this site lmfao. The dedication to finding some sort of decode for an s58 dual clutch is amazing. Also if this happens, Iā€™m buying that one
