I’m now at 1,400 miles... just to be on the safe side I opted for an oil change. All looked great. I plan to do so every 5,000 miles.

My ‘go to’ guy is a mechanic at our local BMW dealer and helped me out.

Funny to see a Toyota surround by its next of kin.

It's nice when they let you watch. they refill with 0w20 (assuming what's used on the Z4)?

Curious, did they use some sort of puck for the lift placement on the jack points?

~ There were flat pads on the lift and lined up perfectly with the oem pads (same as bmw).
No issues.

~ I use these (as you pictured) when I jack my car up at the house, etc.
Yep same. Haven't been to the dealer yet (Toyota or BMW) and was curious if they had a similar OEM version, or if lifting without pads containing an insert is safe. Seems so.

~ No insert used or needed at the dealer...
just the large flat pad on the lift arms... setting flush against the flat pad on the car. Very stable.

I do my oil change every 3k with 5w30 Amsoil European. I drive the car very hard and street race often. My car has bolt ons catless downpipe, Jb4 with custom Jesse's custom map. Car makes 450whp.

I also don't use the shaped inserts anymore. Just vehicle jack points flat to the jack pads. The jack points still look great and it's faster.

But why dig up this old thread to not contribute to it?

That used oil looks like it is brand new. I will wait for one year (probably less than 3000 miles) before having my oil changed, free of charge. After two years, I'll do it, myself.

Its not the worst thing to get break in oil out and check filter for material after break in mileage is hit. Ill be doing the same on mine at ~1200 miles
