This forum is helping me cope with not having my car - it has been in the shop over a month and may be replaced if my request is granted by Toyota.

Interested in seeing how long people have had their cars in the shop for service and repair.

I am honestly surprised your dealership is not helping you with this request. 30 days in Texas and your car is a lemon and the dealer should be actively working with the manufacturer to get a replacement vehicle for you. Sucks that your having to go thru this.

Skewed poll. No option for a day or less.
Fewer than 7 days included zero but to make people happy, Iā€™ve added a selection for zero.

The dealer doesnā€™t control it. They certainly interact with Toyota CEC (Customer Experience Center) which can initiate a buyback or replacement request.

Iā€™m currently working through a replacement request that must be approved but my car also meets the lemon criteria for my state of purchase/residence. Iā€™ve been told it can take up to a month for requests to be reviewed and adjudicated.

Once they say yes, I presume there will be some effort made to find me another car.

Read all about it. Several other members in the same boat.

Not zero, but the 30 minutes it was in the ā€œshopā€ was to have the Texas state inspection done since I moved down here. Havenā€™t had any issues with it yet, though.

Thatā€™s zero in the spirit of the inquiry.
