Quick question as i am not in front of my car as i just dropped it off at the shop but took the panel off already. Does anyone know approximately how far from the edge the holes should be cut? I was hoping to cut the holes while the shop does some work for me.

Center to center hole spacing is 19" ....Or each hole center is 9.5" from center of rear panel

Huge thanks to tadda for making this DIY and everyone else that chipped in along the way. This has definitely helped. I can listen to the music and hear no rattles or vibrations now. I ended up doing it without the mesh for the time being as I couldn’t find any mesh that wouldnt take another week and half for delivery so I just skipped that.

Anywhere else we can get the 2" foam pad? That one you provided the link for is currently out of stock and I can't find a similar one. Thanks bro!
it’s upholstery foam. If you can’t find on amazon or eBay try a local crafts or fabric store like Joann Fabrics, Michaels or Hobby Lobby

I meant to ask this but keep forgetting but cant you just remove the sub covers completely to stop the rattle coming from that? Honestly I hate the sub covers to begin with. Wish they were just black.

Are you talking about the large sub cover (#11) below? Or the sub grills (#14)?

If it's grill covers your speaking of, then sure you can remove them, but personally I don't think that would look any better...

sub grills (#14). I actually didnt have rattle coming from those so I never applied the silicon on it. But I was looking at it earlier and was thinking for those that do why not just remove it. and that color is just throwing me off because the sub grill doesn’t match anything else on the interior. If they are easy to remove I may try wrapping them and see if it looks better or removing.

Personally, I don't mind the grill appearance and they seem to blend into the rest of the trim...

Some of the music I enjoy is Ethereal Techno and EDM that has some very low bass notes and I like to listen to it played at 2/3 volume...This really tests the systems bass response!

At those low frequencies I did notice some minor vibrations that do occur between the grill cover and grill...Silicon adhesive between the two grill pieces fixed that issue for me...

You could possibly find another grill design of similar diameter and attach it to the main cover using industrial velcro...
