Hybrid vs Full Frame Turbo Kits on 93 octane only!

Hello Everyone!

I decided to start to this thread to discuss potential benefits of full frame turbo kits over hybrid turbo options if you are limited to pump gas like 93 octane with no ethanol or methanol.

As far as I know there is an octane limit around 500-550whp for 93 octane for making peak horsepower. What I'm curious about is wether a full frame turbo kit would actually still be faster 60-130, 100-200 and 1/4 mile compared to a hybrid turbo option on 93 octane only.

Obviously cost wise it might not make sense for most people but theoretically for someone who is trying to build the fastest possible street car on 93 octane only, which one would be the ideal choice here?

I'd like to know this as well.
I've done a bunch of research since and a larger full frame turbo will be faster than a hybrid on pump gas every time. However, spool will be slower.

full frame, in most cases, will have much less back pressure compared to big wheels stuffed into a turbine housing designed for a wheel half the size. This benefits lower octane and you make more power with less heat.

It's going to be a balancing act though with spool, response and top end power.

This is somewhat inaccurate. The daw turbo was shown to make 550/550 on e30. Sole 91/93 is most likely around 400 to low 500hp
It’s because daw turbos number one goal is spool, not big power.
