Multiple BT Devices Connected

Is it possible to connect more than one device via BT, like a phone for carplay and a tablet to play announcements from a radar detector app I run? I tried it earlier and my tablet shut down my phone and I lost carplay. Screwed up everything.

Yes, you can have more than one device connected at the same time. I have both my and my wife’s phone connected and it shows them both in the Communication square on the screen. But I have no idea exactly how it all plays together. We’ve never had someone call her when we we’re in the car. Assuming it would come through the speakers but don’t know for certain.
