I would always remove them before service of any kind. The greatest threat is theft.Most tire shops will just toss your valve cover to the side whenever they do a tire job and put in a different one.
They’re made of PC/ABS (Polycarbonate/Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) blend, so no issues.Make sure the caps are not made of different metal than the valve stem. Apply a light coating of light oil on the threads to keep corrosion away.
No, but they gave me an extra .00001 whp!75 dollars! for valve caps....do they have TPMS sensors in them? comical.
