I have a Jarama edition car, which as far as I'm aware is basically the A91 without the stripes, and possibly a different audio system. No clue what's in the A91. Anyhow, it doesn't have the premium JBL audio, but instead what BMW class as option 676, "hifi" audio, as far as I can tell. This means the signal from the HU/Radio gets to the amp via an analogue connection, not digital. But I'm wondering, what options do I have here for upgrading the audio? Is there anything off the shelf that's gonna work amp/DSP wise? What about recoding the HU to output on the MOST bus and hooking up that way, even if just to an OEM premium amp? I've had a search but can't find anyone else on the forums upgrading from non-premium audio, maybe my searching isn't good enough!
