Oil for supra????

I called my Toyota parts guy, and he said, supra gets a special motor oil???
Instead of the usual price for 0-20 oil,
Which is $9.99/qt., it was $18.99/qt!,
Pt# 008880WA011 (BMW #?) does
Anyone know about this?

Yes, correct part number for the smaller jug. Dealer told me the oil change would be 85 bucks (taxes included) after complimentary ones run out.

Your missing my point, parts guy said $9.99 Per quart
For regular 0-20 oil, and $18.99 per quart for Supra Oil....my question is: for twice the price, what’s the difference in oil??!!
PS I called BMW, and for this motor, they only sell 0-20 oil for $10.49 per qt, no other
“Special oil” for that motor.

for Toyota, it's special because they probably now have to get it from BMW or another oil company that they don't have a deal with..

I called BMW, for the motor that’s in the supra, they use there standard 0-20 motor oil for &10.49 per qt. No other oil is listed in BMW parts listing, there oil filter is listed
For $24.14, where Toyota lists it at $12.99.

Y’all missing the point! What’s the difference In The oil! Other then price! Why pay double the price for the same weight oil! If it’s a different price,what is the difference between the two????

Here's a link that is about BMW's oil vs off the self. So I think the regular Toyota 0w20 is different than GR Supra version.

I called up BMW parts dept, asked them what oil they use for the 58 engine that’s in the Toyota Supra, and they have a 0-20 oil
For $10.49 per qt, no other oil is listed for that motor..

Sounds like Toyota is jacking up the price for the oil, so if you are doing the oil change yourself buy the oil from BMW. It's even cheaper here:

Again, it’s not the price, I know price point per qt for most oils, I need to know the Difference between the two

Contact Toyota ask them what the difference is, the parts guy at the dealer ship probably doesn't know.
If you are not concerned about the price, why do you need to know? That is the oil they recommend for the car.

I did, there absolutely clueless, parts guy said I would be the first to buy that Supra oil!
And this dealer is one of the largest Toyota dealers in South Florida!!
