I think it just depends on where you grow up. I went to Humble High and a lot of rich kids were driving brand new cars. My buddy Chris got a new double cab F-150 as his senior graduation gift. The even richer kids next door at Kingwood High were driving even nicer cars. One of my teachers even made a joke about a number of them having nicer cars than most of our school staff. ?

I'd have to do the Kilometres to Miles conversion, but the needle was past 180 Kilometres per hour. It Was dark out, on a single lane highway. Everybody was drunk except the driver.

Just think, you could get a Pantera for $10,000 dollars when first on the market. If I'm correct, that was 1971. That was for the base model, and $12,000 for top of the line.
