Has anyone gone for PPF on their car? I've had some quotes that are all circa £1.5k for just the front end.

Then you've got ceramic coating on top of that which can be anything from £200 to £750 depending on what is used and what is dine (body, wheels, interior).

A pricey business.

I've seen people pay up to $7k for a full wrap. It's pretty insane. £1.5k for the front end sounds about right to me. I was quoted $2k for a partial front wrap from a local detailer.

Yeah, pretty insane prices. My M2 that I've just sold suffered after a highlands trip with loads of other cars. Got some bad stone chips and road rash on the front bumper. Don't want that to happen again!

I would say 2-3K for a frontend wrap or 6-7 K for a full wrap. I paid 5800.00 for a full wrap.

I paid $400 for tint and $800 for ceramic coating. They quoted me an additional $2k to wrap the front end, but I decided against it. So your prices seem pretty standard.

I was quoted $3700 for full front, fenders, doors and rockers. A majority of the work is that front bumper. It takes them hours to get it just right.

Got mine done March 2020, full Xpel PPF, for just over double the cost of your front end quote.
see Paint protection, father & son owners, I think he's north of the border.

I got Xpel done on just the front clip (bumper, partial hood, mirrors) for about $700. Full front clip (everything forward of the windshield) would have been $2k.

Please dont pay anyone to do Ceramic coating, its so easy to do yourself. $60 for some Gtechniq HALO (for the ppf), and $5 for a few decent microfibers. Its almost impossible to screw it up.

Heres a pic to see the hood line in case youre on the fence of partial or full hood. Some colors show it more than others. Even on black, i cant see it unless I look for it.

Getting my done next week. $1800 XPEL for Full front bumper cover, full hood, door edges, headlights, and mirrors.

In the past I went to a cheaper shop and for giggles requested a quote for the Supra and it was $1500 for same coverage; however they did an "okay" job last time so I'm paying a little more for a reputable shop.

Shops in the main city area was about $2,300

I've self installed several of these pre-cut type kits on the various cars and motorcycles I've owned, and as long as the lines are clean cut and you install wet they're pretty easy. Going to order one this week, and will post pictures afterwards.

3m Precut vinyl kit on Ebay

Buy a vinyl application kit also, should come with applicator spray, felt lined squeegee, and small pencil like tool for getting into corners. I also suggest cleaning the surface with a mild detergent like dawn and then clay bar the surface with distilled water as the lubricant.

Does anyone have any recommendations for PPF application around the Cambridge (UK :D) area?

A friend of mine recommended Topaz but I would prefer not to go into London

Xpel letchworth maybe?

I did partial hood and roof here in Oslo, Norway. Carbon on the roof and satin black on the hood, it sort of matches the black splitters and side skirt
paid around 300 Euro.
As for the Ceramic coating I did it myself, used Avalon king, this is my third car I use it on and I'm very happy with the results. Did a lot of searching when I purchased it the first time and it got a lot of positive feedback on youtube so I went for it, and like I said, I'm really happy :)
