Hi Everyone,

So I put the car in manual mode and rev'd it to redline in first gear. A few seconds later, I get the error message attached, the check engine light is on, and the car is in limp mode. I have a JB+ and a Injen cold air intake as the only mods. I have shut the car on and off to reboot, but the problem remains. The car has a full tank if gas. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Unplug that JB+ crap and disconnect the battery for a few minutes.

So I removed the JB+, reconnected everything and disconnected the negative terminal for about 25 minutes. When I go to start it, it starts up for about 1 second and then shut down immediately. I am not getting any error messages after the car turns off. See video for what is happening. Any thoughts? Thanks

Can you scan for any codes? Do you have an OBD2 reader? Hit the start button 3 times quickly with foot OFF the brake and see if codes pop up.

I’d be shocked if the JB+ did anything to the car…did you move the adjuster at all for boost? I would also reach out to Burger Motorsports for help.

Unfortunately I don't have an OBD2 reader. Good idea to put it into diagnostic mode as it least now it displays the same error message after redlining it in 1st gear (see attached).

I did adjust the boost as shown in the picture (see attached).

It still revs to about 1,500rpm for about 1 second and then shuts down. Of course, the CEL is still on.

Thanks again for any thoughts!

Contact Burger and scan the code. Then we can help you more if BMS can’t.

Could be that the charge pipe has popped off. Have you checked the coupler connected to the turbo? Would explain the error code and engine dying right after start-up.

Other than that, hard to tell until you can pull out some codes with a OBD reader.

The charge pipe looks and feels solidly connected (it's still stock) (see photos). Good idea to check though. Thanks.

Fully charge the battery and test again.
AAA guy said battery is fully charged and no issues there. I will have it towed to the dealer tomorrow. Thanks!

OBD scanner (as others have said) is well worth it. Most things are easy fixes once you know what pissed her off (applies to more than cars). Good luck 🍀
