Rexpeed CF spoiler flaw

Decided to go ahead and get the Rexpeed V1 spoiler. Not sure what's considered normal in terms of carbon fiber flaws but this seems pretty eye catching (it's not a subtle flaw once placed on the car) and wanted to get some opinions.

Is this typical of the Rexpeed spoilers?

I tell people on the forum NOT to buy rexspeed trashy replicas. I once bought a spoiler to tryout from them for the Supra a year ago and had the same issue that you are showing. I called and complained to them about it and they refused to give me a refund. So F$#&k them! Plus the can't come up with their own design while ripping off consumers and the official manufacturer.

That's unfortunate and it looks like it may have been damaged in shipping to me. I would send the pics to wherever you purchased it from and ask for a replacement.

I recently installed this spoiler and it is flawless. Absolutely love the look.

?‍ I purchased their V1 spoiler in forged carbon and have no issues with it.

It's the regular carbon fiber weave they can't get right. Plus they seem to use a home depot paint brush to apply the resin. That's how mine came in.

Yeah their quality is crap, I received mine with some flaws and it was actually damaged and chipped in one of the corners but they blamed it on my shipping company, I had to redo the whole carbon layer and lacquer at my own cost but it came out great after

Good to know there are at least some examples out there without defects. I'll give the vendor a chance to make it right before I escalate and/or start tossing people under busses. Thanks for the replies!

I had the same issue with a rexspeed spoiler. Dealer said they’d look into it and rexspeed told them that it happens and is not a defect. Had to return it at my own expense and bought a different spoiler. The QC is hit or miss it seems

Just received and installed mine today. I looked over it really well and everything seemed acceptable. Then I gave it to my wife who is quite the stickler and she agreed. I’m happy with it.

It is a bit of a hit or miss. You are very lucky.

Wonder if the V2 is any better? I am pretty sure the V2 is supposed to look like the Artisan one, def a fan of the look. Hopefully I don't have any issues.
