I’m getting a little worried that it might not be as attainable as I originally thought

There is only 2 reasons the vents on the latest mule are now exposed. 1) Toyota wanted us to see them (unlikely), or 2) they are functional and they are testing that they actually work.
the car already had a bunch of time in the tunnel, but yeah probably a bit of both.

I am also getting slightly worried about cost. 60K USD for this car should get us a pretty decent car for a Toyota though

man, I can't wait to see people's reactions to the rear.
You may have said a bit too much here ;).

Given what we already know about the rear end from the prototypes, the only thing I could see that would dramatically differ from the current consensus about the rear end's production appearance is that there will indeed be a retractable wing, not simply a lip spoiler...

I know concepts serve the purpose to give you an idea of what's to come.

But man I was really hoping for the gas tank latch/door would have made it to production.

I absolutely loved the way it was positioned on the concept.

If you look closely, you can also see side skirts! The rendering from that Japanese magazine is probably 90% close to production design.

^ Don't see what else could possibly cause dramatic reactions to the rear - time will tell.

Someone just write A70 a fat check and get him to spill the beans already!

I've been following this car for so long as I did the 86 and I want the details! :spaz:

LOL, I like working on this stuff though... though once the stupid self driving cars they're developing are released it will be all over sadly.

There's a manga by the guy who did initial D with the same concept you describing, trying to return to a focus on driving through the self automated vehicled.
Called MF Ghost, might be something you would relate to.
