Hello everyone! Just picked up a 2020 GR Supra about 3 weeks ago and have been doing a ton of research on the tuning capabilities of this vehicle. Needless to say, I’m super excited and can’t wait for the warranty period to be over

So from searching the forums and watching numerous YouTube dynos and channels, 500whp seems quite achievable; however, modifications vary between builds. Downpipe and OTS tune seems to yield around 400whp. I guess my questions are this.

1. Will flex fuel (E40-E50), down pipe, and pro tune be capable of around 500whp? Any additional supporting mods necessary to run an E50 blend?

2. Is 500whp achievable on crappy California 91 octane gas?

Thanks much!

Awesome, thanks for the feedback guys, I appreciate it.

My goal in the future is to run a catted active auto downpipe, E50, and a protune. If I can get to 500whp on just those I’d be extremely happy.

If I’m looking for more power I’ll pull the trigger on a Pure 800 Turbo. With an E50 blend, do the fuel injectors/ fuel pump need to be upgraded?

Thanks!

No. Stock fuel components hold blends up to e55 just fine. I’m currently full bolt ons e55 on a kill map making about 500-520hp on stock turbo. Catless and blended with 93 ofcourse

Oh wow, that’s amazing to hear, especially on stock turbos. Looking forward to modding mine when the time comes.

Have you had any traction issues with all the added power?

Out of curiosity, what tires are you running now?

Catted DP robbed power in my case chasing 500whp on an upgraded turbo dealing with extreme heat. Switched to catless and made much more power

Might take note of that since 500whp is close to maxed out a the stock turbo

I’ll definitely keep that in mind. Reason why I’m going catted is that I’d prefer not smelling exhaust fumes and it’ll be more of a street build anyways.

On top of that I live in California. At least with a catted downpipe, I can try getting it passed off as stock. Downpipe might fail visual, but I’m hopeful it can pass the emissions portion, especially if corn fuel burns cleaner. ;)

How do you mix your gas? Are you mixing e85 and 91?
