Hi Everyone

I'm contemplating if I should get an MkV for track use only (strip+cage, tune, etc). I've seen a few flood damage cars on copart and was wondering if there's already an approximate market price for a runner/non-runner salvage car. Any knowledge on this topic?

Looking at this for example:

Some people here were picking up new remaining 2020s for $45k. The savings is only like $7.6k. Personally that wouldn't be worth the trouble and headaches for me. Plus the whole salvage title thing will effect resale.

$37,392 for CA Buildz.

That's getting somewhere. Gutting and stripping one, replacing ECU and going to the tracks with it is dropping in price. Still quite a bit for a wrecked car though.
