Okay, my fellow 2021 Supra 2.0L enthusiasts...Here is my official build page.
So the background on why I chose the 2.0L Supra goes back to last spring. I had mentioned to my wife that I was thinking of buying a car for the two us to work on, mod, track / auto-x, beat on through the twisties and just have an overall spare car. I was initially going to import a RHD DC2 Honda Integra Type-R from Japan (because it was unique), then I turned my sights to a 1997 Honda Civic Type-R hatch which I was also going to import from Japan. Lastly I stopped into King Motorsports who is local to me here in Wisconsin and they had a built MINT condition full JDM spec 1997 EK9 Type-R Civic hatch (except with the B18C out of the Integra Type-R) under a cover in their shop. I offered to purchase the car in cash on the spot, however long story short, the owner of King Motorsports promised the car to his friend and I lost out on the sale.
Fast forward a few months and I started looking at everything from new to used of all makes and models. Ultimately, it came down between the 2021 Honda Civic Type-R or/ the 2021 Supra 2.0L. I preferred the true 2-door sports car with RWD and the 8-spd auto as my wife can not drive manual and I really don't have the patience to teach her. Come December 2020 I walked into a local Toyota dealer and told them what I wanted to buy the car for...take or leave it. They bit on the deal and here we are.
