Tail lights problem

Anybody experience this problem with the tail lights my wife was taking pics of the car and noticed this inside the driver side tail light

She said it's inside. Looks like a Crack but I'll have to see it for myself later when she gets home.
Here's another shot

Might have to go to the dealer and have them replace it.

I don't see any signs of it getting hit outside so I'm gonna have her head to the dealership tommorow and file a claim and see what they say from there

Well my wife took it to the closest dealer in my area and they told her that "it looks like it was caused by a rock chip.." and took pictures to send to Toyota... I should've known. I'll probably take it to the dealer where I bought the car from and see what they say.

Beat the dealer up about it. Got mine replaced under warranty, "bad forming" was what it they called on the service sheet. They did fuck up the rear bumper reinstall so it isn't quite straight anymore

That's what I was saying and I told my wife have them point it out and explain to her where's the impact and they insist its there when obviously it's not

According to the general manager of the Toyota dealership in my town said they never sold a Supra in there lot ever since they released it. He came out to check my wife supra and had a chat with her and even check the Tail light and said the same script

Just an update. Never got a response back from the dealer but I'm not really trippin since I did an easy fix.

It looks great, but I would push the dealer for a proper replacement if i were you.

ive had a similar crack in a tailight light (albeit trunk mounted) and the stress crack only worsened with time. Got it fixed at my own expense since it was out of warranty by the time it cracked right to the edge. Water seepage became a concern.

Not sure if force from trunk closures would worsen it in your case, but i would make the dealer replace it
