Appreciate the advice man.

I do drive the car on the street, but i'm not that fussed about how it handles there vs how it handles on the track....within reason of course. Theres' a reason i'm not going with solid bushings all around.

I track the car with VSC fully turned off, so there's that.

isn't 1mm toe out in front a lot? Also seems like a bit more rear toe-in than i would have expected, but not by much i guess
I run 2mm in the rear as well. She’s more planted trail braking when you do.

Running 1 mm up front will be lively on your initial turn in, even with aggressive negative camber. I’m at 0.5mm and she’s incredibly sensitive (and faster). It just depends on the car, your mods and how comfortable you are on the edge. You’ll hit that fine line quicker for sure.

Thanks, will give it a go and see how it works out.

At the end of the day it's probably best to not overthink my initial alignment, within reason of course, and as long as it's track focused. I say that because i'm probably going to make monthly adjustments until i get it to the place i want it to be. Alignments are cheap, and i'm going to enjoy the process anyway.

True! You’ll probably love it coming from your track background.

I’m going to take mine in and set her alignment back closer to OEM specs, since she’ll be down (but not out) until October 😭. I can still take her to work (on the weekends) & go to my fav Sprouts, Whole Foods, grocery stores….

Got a few things done today. Verus hood louvres and TEQ CF badges

Also got a custom 3D printed snorkel done that pulls air from the grill area to the intake. Will be fun testing that out. We did cover the front with mesh as well to make sure no rocks get through

Put in a 1:12.6 at the Club Circuit of the Dubai Autodrome. Not an impressive time by any means, but not the worst i've done considering the heatsoak. It was 31c, which is about 88f. Would like to bring that time down to the 1:10 mark, which is a big ask.....but i think the car has quite a bit more in it.

Car's gonna be decommissioned for a while since a few things have come in.

The wing and the splitter are in. So is the flex fuel kit. CTS intake too (it was in stock locally, no other reason....yes dumb).

By the time al that's done my camber plates would've arrived, along with the front and rear sway bars. Already have the tie rod ends with me. So all those will go on. And then it's time to get the alignment according to the specs i shared that some of you guys generously shared feedback on.

Have a couple of questions i'm hoping you guys could help me out with:

1 - what's the max ethanol content i can currently safely run?
2 - For the (Eibach) sway bars thinking of going medium stiffness in the front and soft in the rear. Thoughts? It's obviously just a starting point and doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things because it's just an adjustment tool, but no harm in trying to get the starting point close to where i believe i'll end up

On stock turbo and stock fuel system a decent amount of people run E50, but you'd be right on the brink of the fuel system's limits especially on an aggressive tune. I would stick to E40 or less, although I don't personally know how ethanol tunes perform long-term on track.

E40? Thanks for the tip

I'm currently running a BM3 Stage 2 Multimap. Don't think i'm going to get a custom tune until i go bigger turbo

No problem,

You'll want to confirm with some of the more track focused users to be 100% sure if E40 is safe for the track though, but should be more than safe for street use.

As long as you don’t get too much understeer or slower turn in from being too stiff up front. Like you said, you’ll have to see how it feels. We started with soft front and rear settings and made changes everywhere else before adjusting the sway bars. Damnnnnn…. now I gotta go look. I can’t remember where we ended up. I was thinking my rear is set to medium. The Eibach’s are mega stiff at the ā€softestā€ setting compared to stock.

Not a Corvette.
You'll get super high IAT's with the OEM manifold on the OTS tunes if running higher percentage of Ethanol. Being in Dubai, it will be compounded even more so.

Hmm then maybe i'll start with soft on both ends and go from there, considering that last point you made.

I'm most certainly planning on running an aftermarket manifold. Wagner. It's going to be a minute before i get to it though because of all the pending work. Aero is in progress now and then have quite a bit of suspension work. But will make it point to take care of it before the season starts
