I’m not sure who at BMW is designing their body styles but they should slap them! Poor M2 got hit with the ugly stick.

That's the M240i... Word is that M2 might have a completely different looking front end, from some possible leaks that came out.

So at this point I'm assuming the GRMN Supra will be a version of the M2. Possible manual option (quantity limited by BMW most likely) given that BMW got 2 cars out of this project. The M2 will most likely be out before the GRMN if it plays out like the Z4/ GR release

According to this thread the M240i xDrive will be $48,550 with the RWD model coming later, seems like a pretty good deal for the price. If the RWD model model starts around $45,000 with only a minor drop in performance compared to the Supra, it may take a chunk out of its sales considering it will also have the sales advantage of being a 2+2 and with newer tech.

Ordered 2022 M240i yesterday. Thundernight Metallic(purple), tan interior. Same wheels as in post 32 above. No arrival date due to chips etc. Possibly Jan.

I agree it’s a good deal for the money, but the M240I drive weighs 400-500lbs more than a Supra. Supra is built on a true sports car chassis, and obviously some people will prefer a 2 seater and the looks of the Supra.

The M240i XDrive weighs 300 more than the a90, the RWD version will be even less. Also the G42 is built off the G29 according to a BMW insider.

Straight from the BMW website for the M240i x CURB WEIGHT - AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION (lbs) 3871

On the Toyota website they list the curb weight of the 2022 3.0 Premium at 3400 lbs.

Thats 471 more lbs.
