Hey guys so I have 15% tint on my Supra which is honestly lighter then I’ve ever done before lol. I’m looking into getting the windshield tinted as well now too, probably 50% so it’s not stupid dark. Has anybody here done their windshield? If so did it have any effect on the heads up display? Please share pics too if you have done it!

I have 70% on my front with zero issues. 50% would not be a problem visibility wise IMO.

I didn’t want to do 50% here just because of cops as my cabin would look too dark from the front and attract attention. No one really cares about sides and rear, so I did 20%. Huper Optik ceramic on sides and rear with 3M crystalline on the front.

My wife has 35% on her front windshield and the HUD is way easier to see.
Nice! What percent does she have the rest of the windows? I’m sure the visibility is solid from the inside but would you say the windshield looks pretty dark from the outside? Just don’t want to attract the wrong attention but I was considering 35% for the front as well

Would you say the 70% windshield tint made any difference in terms of appearance? I could be completely wrong but I thought the the windshield already omitted about 70 or so percent of light OEM spec.

I bet your interior is incredibly cooler now tho too with the 3M crystalline

I have 70% 3M IR on the windshield and it is a tad darker but tbh, it's not noticeable unless it's side by side with a car that doesn't have tint.

It made a difference in appearance and visibility looking into the cabin. I’ll try and grab some pictures tomorrow.

The car is much cooler with it. It is my daily and I’m in and out of it all day, so the cost was worth it.

Front tint pictures, the reflectivity of the crystalline helps immensely with privacy. I just told them I want enough to have some privacy but not so much that I’m pulled over.

I like that. The reflective nature of the film definitely helps a lot too. I’m thinking 35% now might be too dark. Might just go with 50 as a happy medium. Hopefully the tint shops here reopen soon enough so I can get this done

I’ve thought of going a bit darker if I had to do it again so I don’t think you will regret it.

I can take more. Let me know what angles you need.
