Does anyone know how much power the factory torque converter can handle

What kind of power are you planning on? People are making over 1,000whp with no issue.. You'll for sure blow the transmission long before you hurt the torque converter.
thanks all for the info, we originally thought the problem we where having the torque converter, axle or rear differential. end up being the middle support bearing on the drive shaft. would highly recommend anyone putting big power to go ahead and order this item as well as guibo for front and rear of drive shaft.

BMW has never made a good Guibo. Was a common failure on M3s back in the day.

Replacement driveshaft would be the your best bet. I picked one up from Strange but haven't installed it yet.
Did you pick up a upgraded driveshaft?

I did but I'm waiting for axles to come in before I install.
Nice man. I just got my axles . Which brand driveshaft did you go with?
