Toyota emblems

Does anyone know if there are guide holes in the hatch and front bumper behind the emblems? I got some 86 gloss black emblems off eBay and they have tabs for guide holes on the back. I can cut those off no problem but am concerned that if there are holes behind the stock emblems they might show because these are slightly smaller and the area in the center is open unlike the stock ones. Trying to get rid of the ugly chrome. Thanks.

yes, there are guide holes in the bumper behind the emblem.
The emblem has two pins on the side and one at the bottom. No pins at top. Bumper has matching holes.

Thank you. These are just a bit smaller (not much maybe a few mm) so will examine them before I remove. These have the pins in the same spot on the emblem so I should know where they are on the stock emblems. Appreciate the help!

my friend replaced the emblem with the one from camry and it fits well just need to shave off the pins behind he emblem

yes he has too. if you ahve seen some vids out there, you will need to remove the bumper first, because the emblem has 2 pins that goes thru and attach to the black plastic piece under the bumper
