To all the people who picked up their new Supra’s, was it worth the wait? Is the car everything you thought it would be? What do think of it so far? I placed my deposit in Jan. When the car was revealed and am waiting for my LE to show up. Still have not seen the car in person but hope to soon. Thanks, for any insight you can provide.

I cant answer if it's worth
I placed my deposit around May
And I've just seen it in person last week in Geneva dealer
Its 360 degree different than what you see in photos
And if you notice, everyone just repeating this sentence, check the delivery videos, they all say the car is totally different in person
Its designed with many lines work, it's just difficult to get it right in photos
So, after seeing it, now I cant wait for mine, messaging my dealer everyday about it
Good luck

^^^ This.... went to the UK Test Drive event pretty certain I was getting my deposit back.

First view in the flesh and it was very much a 'ooh damn....' - I get mind 1st week of Sept when they are launched in the UK. (FYI our registration system means a new number plate 2 times a yr, so the new plate (69) comes out on Sept 1st, and Toyota want to release it then.)

Forget the videos, magazine pics etc as the car might as well be another one totally as it looks so much better in person its unreal.

Let me repeat this cliche again then - the car is completely different (in a good way) in person. You have to see it in the flesh.

I had the chance to see it in person at my local dealership and sit in it yesterday. I was pleasantly impressed by how low and wide the car is. Especially the rear end. It has a great stance.

The biggest thing that impressed me was the interior. It's actually a much tighter cabin than my BRZ which I did not expect. When I got back in my BRZ, felt like I had a boat load of space. Because of how tight the space is, how low you sit and how beefed up the interior is, the inside really felt like a 'cockpit' to me. In the pictures it just looks like a plain old interior, but when you sit in it its a completely different feel. Really liked it. Also, really like how the steering wheel felt - was a small wheel (similar in size to the BRZ) but a little thicker.

It does have a BMW feel to it. What I mean by that is the leather feels like BMW leather, not Toyota or Lexus - stuff like that, which I personally don't think is a bad thing. Everything inside felt pretty high quality (completely opposite to how my BRZ feels).

Overall the car has a bodybuilder feel to it, especially sitting inside looking out. Kind of hard to explain. It's like someone took a regular sports car and made it hit the gym. Has a very distinct muscular look and feel.

Trust me I was sort of on the fence about how I would feel about it before I saw the car. But after seeing it yesterday, I am very excited. Looking forward to that drive. And also looking forward to Toyota dropping that manual in, before I proceed to drop that cheque on them.
