I am trying to run an e50 blend on my car and debating on if I need flex fuel lines.
I have seen a few people say that they are running e50 on race days on stock lines but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s optimal for the car.
can anyone pitch in on this topic? I reached out to Toyota and they have no clue if we have PTFE fuel lines.

Do you have a 21 or 20? The TU pump is good for E50 if you have a 21, otherwise you probably want a Dorche stage 1+ depending on what E rating rating want to run

From what I have heard, all cars made past 05 are fine running ethanol. Since e10 was introduced in 05, all car manufactures put in ethanol resistant lines. My evo is an 06 and has had nothing but e85 in its tank for the past 3 years. All fuel lines, rubber included, look and feel good.

I have a 2021 3.0 and id like to consider E85 and others, but would still like to run 93 if I had too. So I am curious about this topic as well.

While I was home on vaca I actually tried the E50 tune from MHD and honestly the fuel gauge ended up reading 4 gallons less when full (imagine the alcohol messed with it) but honestly felt the car ran rough as hell. Honestly after doing some reading if you plan on running E50 you need to actually get it tuned from a tuner. I never tried the e30 from bootmod but was more concerned with getting the car back to normal!

There are NO upgraded fuel pumps. The Dorsch pump is for the G1 platform that runs a 20MPa fuel pressure. The supras use a 35MPa system. This is not compatible. And even if it did the injectors on the supra would run short at high rpm. Port injection with Motiv is the only good way to do proper fueling beyond the stock setup.

A lift pump can also help as the fuel pressure does drop a bit.

To answer your question, Toyota/BMW have stated that E15 is acceptable in 2021 B58 engines as-delivered. This is a recent change, I believe BMW has not approved E15 for 2019 models and before. Only E10 was approved, per EPA requirements.

TFM says E25.

I don't know of any modern vehicles that have line failures off the top of my head.

You say you see a few people running E50 for race tunes.

The reality is a massive chunk of the tuned community daily dives on ethanol. Probably half the cars we have seen run ethanol on the daily.

Lol. I guess he's not on the FB groups. 75% of the Supra owners i've met either have Flex fuel or straight e50 tunes..

If it's rated for E10 it will work with E100. Ethanol rated means ethanol rated.
